Theo Wargo/Getty Images for Tribeca Film FestivalA special screening of rare archival footage of Bruce Springsteen has been added to the lineup of the 2019 Asbury Park Music & Film Festival, which runs from April 25 through April 28 in Asbury Park, New Jersey.

The film event, dubbed The Springsteen Archives, will take place on Saturday, April 27, at 4 p.m. ET at the Paramount Theatre. Filmmaker Thom Zimny, who directed the Springsteen on Broadway Netflix special and other Bruce-related flicks, will present the screening. Chris Phillips, editor of the Springsteen fan site Backstreets, will moderate a panel discussion afterward.

The footage will span the early years of The Boss through his recent tours. The festival is presenting the screening in partnership with the Bruce Springsteen Archives and Center for American Music at Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey.

Among the other movies being shown during the Asbury Park Music & Film Festival: the documentaries David Crosby: Remember My Name and Clarence Clemons: Who Do I Think I Am?, which will screen April 27 at the Paramount Theatre, at 7 p.m. and 12 p.m. ET, respectively.

David Crosby and Remember My Name co-producer Cameron Crowe will be on hand for a Q&A after the screening of  that film.

Funds raised by the Asbury Park Music & Film Festival go to provide music education, instruments, and social connection opportunities for in-need children in the Asbury Park area.
