Hollywood RecordsQueen continues to reap rewards from the band’s 2018 biopic Bohemian Rhapsody: The film’s soundtrack has topped Nielsen Music’s just-released list of the Top Selling Vinyl Albums for the first half of 2019.

As Billboard reports, the Bohemian Rhapsody soundtrack sold 61,000 copies in the U.S. to reach #1 on the tally. As if that weren’t enough, Queen’s Greatest Hits compilation took second place on the list, with 49,000 LPs sold.

Popular vinyl albums by a variety of other classic rock and veteran pop stars also made it into the top 10 of the mid-year list.

The BeatlesAbbey Road was #5 with 33,000 in vinyl sales, Pink Floyd‘s The Dark Side of the Moon was #6 with 32,000 sold, Bob Marley & The WailersLegend compilation was #7 with 30,000 sold, and Fleetwood Mac‘s Rumours and Michael Jackson‘s Thriller were listed at #8 and #9, respectively, with 29,000 in sales.

Queen, The Beatles and Pink Floyd finished first, second and third in overall vinyl albums sold during the first six months of 2019, with 154,000, 128,000 and 84,000 LPs sold, respectively.

Meanwhile, the Bohemian Rhapsody soundtrack also finished in the top 10 of two other  Nielsen Music mid-year lists. It was #8 on the Top 10 Albums tally with 705,000 overall equivalent album units, which includes traditional album sales, downloads and streaming. The record also was #6 on the list of Top 10 Selling Albums with 253,000 copies in total.

The #1 album in overall equivalent album units was pop star’s Ariana Grande‘s Thank U, Next with 1.55 million units. The best-selling album, excluding streaming, was Lady Gaga‘s soundtrack for A Star Is Born, which sold 404,000 copies.
