David Crosby says he'd like to work with Stills, Nash and Young again, but it's a "pretty complex" situation

The new documentary David Crosby: Remember My Name takes a candid look at the 77-year-old folk-rock legend’s turbulent life and career, including his fractured relationships with Graham Nash, Neil Young and Stephen Stills, and his recent burst of creativity.

David Crosby reveals in the movie that while Stills, Nash and Young currently aren’t speaking with him, but he tells ABC Radio, “I don’t have any bad feelings about those guys at all.”

Regarding the prospects of reconciling with his longtime collaborators, David says, “You can’t really engineer that kind of thing. If it happens, it happens, and that’s good. If it doesn’t happen, it’s good. It’s all OK.”

As for whether he’d like to collaborate with Stills, Nash and Young again, Crosby says, “Yeah, sure,” while noting that it’s a “pretty complex” situation.

David adds, “I’m really proud of the work we did…But I’m really very into this surge that’s happening to me. I figure I should go with it.”

That surge, which began with his 2014 solo effort, Croz, has seen Crosby release three more albums since he last performed with Stills and Nash in 2015. David tells ABC Radio that he’s nearly finished with yet another solo album, this one recorded with the same musicians with whom he worked on his 2017 release, Sky Trails, including his son, keyboardist James Raymond.

“We have probably…two more songs than we need, at least, already,” Crosby says of the project. “James is writing a lot. I’m writing a lot…so I think it’ll be [done] soon, but I’m not gonna put any limits on it.”

Remember My Name is playing now in select U.S. theaters. Crosby launches a new U.S. tour on August 11. Here are all the dates:
