Savoy Records/Concord Music Group

Savoy Records/Concord Music GroupThe Empty Hearts, the supergroup that includes founding members of Blondie, The Cars and The Romantics, are preparing to release some new music.

The band posted a message on its social media sites earlier this month, announcing that the ‘first single from our forthcoming second LP is only a few weeks from [its] release date!”

A rep for the group tells ABC Radio that the new album will be released on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2020.

The Empty Hearts features Blondie drummer Clem Burke, Cars guitarist Elliot Easton and Romantics singer/guitarist Wally Palmar, as well as Andy Babiuk, longtime bassist of the garage-rock act The Chesterfield Kings.

The group released its self-titled debut album in 2014, and followed that with a Christmas single in 2016.

Over the last few weeks, pics of The Empty Hearts shooting a new music video have been posted on their Facebook page, as have a number of new band photos.
