Credit: Amy GranthamGraham Nash is the star of the latest installment of Rolling Stone‘s In My Room video series, which features musicians performing songs at their homes as they social-distance due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Nash’s segment was shot at his New York City apartment and features the 78-year-old folk-rock legend playing three songs from Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young‘s classic 1970 debut album Déjà Vu, which celebrated its 50th anniversary this month.
Sitting at a piano, Graham begins the video by saying, “I’m here at my home, as I hope all of you are. We are all in this together, this coronavirus mess that we’re in. I’d like to give a shout-out to all the medical people, all the postmen, all the postwomen, all the people that are risking their lives to make our lives better.”
Nash then plays his classic ballad “Our House” on piano. He then continues with some advice on staying safe and healthy during the crisis.
“Stay at home. Let’s not spread this virus any further. Let’s wash our hands. Let’s listen to the scientists. Let’s listen to the doctors that have the real facts. Let’s stay together. We’re all in it together. We will make it together.”
Graham then picks up an acoustic guitar and plays the Stephen Stills-penned tune “4 + 20,” recalling that when Stills first played it for him, “I was completely amazed, it’s so beautiful.”
Nash returns to the piano for his final song, “Teach Your Children.”
Graham recently postponed a series of spring U.S. concerts because of the coronavirus pandemic, and he’s now rescheduled them in November. Here are the new dates:
