Corewell Health has named its new president for Corewell Health in Southwest Michigan.

Natalie Baggio, a registered nurse, will take over for Dr. Loren Hamel when he retires at the end of June.

Baggio currently serves as senior vice president, chief nursing executive, and chief operating officer for Corewell Health in Southwest Michigan. She joined the organization in 2017.

As the new president, Baggio will report to the system’s Chief Operating Officer, Darryl Elmouchi, and also work with the health system’s leadership team.

Baggio says she looks forward to building on the work that Loren Hamel has done. Hamel says Corewell has “benefitted greatly from Natalie’s innovative and human-centered leadership,” adding he’s proud of all she’s accomplished.
