This is the season for warmer weather and longer days, and while everyone is excited, the housing market is even more excited.

RealComp CEO Karen Kage says we’re entering the annual buying and selling season.

This is the time when most of the activity really jumps off,” Kage said. “It starts happening now a lot of times because people are interested in, if they’re putting their house on the market, they want to get into the new one and be all ready for when school starts in the fall. They’re already thinking ahead that way.”

March’s home sale numbers just came out earlier in the week and the median sale price for a home has increased in Michigan. It’s up 7.8% since February. The median sale price is now $250,000 dollars.
